NFT Submitted to Crypto.com

For better or worse, I've been getting into CryptoCurrencies. I actually managed to buy DogeCoin when it was at 8 cents. That wasn't as good as the guy who bought it late last year who's now a millionaire but it sort of means that when the price fluctuates, I'm not as worried about it. Also, I only put in 100 dollars and that's worth around 500 dollars now.

In case it needs to be said, I am not qualified to offer financial advice and you should do your own research before investing in anything...ever!

Anyways, I'm writing this post because I bought about 600,000 Shiba Inu Coins from Crypto.com today. Again, it's already pretty popular so I was probably just a little too late.

If you've been paying any attention to the Crypto-World over the last year or so, you may have also heard of NFTs. Orrrrr......you may have heard of it but still didn't know what it means.

As many of you may know, I have always regretted my decision to give up on being any kind of artist when I was young. I was of the belief that I did not have talent and I did not understand that talent wasn't as important as simply doing the thing that you wanted to do...a lot.

I've been researching these NFT things a little bit over the last few weeks but I was hesitant to spend money to just become a part of the crowd trying to cash in and not getting any interest in my work. A lot like the people who write one book, put it on Amazon, don't write anything else, don't spend any money on marketing, and then wonder why they aren't getting any sales.

If I can start working on my youtube channel again, that's one venue that could make an art career work for me since I'm managing to get subscribers despite not updating for months.

Either way, we've been doing okay for the last few months but we would need to be pretty comfortable before I went full time as a creative because we have huge student loans and each person in my house has regular medical appointments. Because we live in the U.S. the need for health insurance is huge.

Sorry, I got a little off track.

Crypto.com has a site where you can submit art/videos to them so that they can sell them through their site. They started as a cryptocurrency exchange and they are actually the ones through which I bought the Shiba Inu coins.

But they've started an NFT "gallery" and are accepting submissions. I had a Tik Tok animation that I submitted without sound that would be amazing if they picked it up. Again, I don't think that it would be an overnight thing that I could use to quit my day job but it would definitely be a step in the right direction.

As always, thanks for reading this far.

If accepted, I'll be sure to update this post, and/or I'll post an update to the blog or youtube channel.
