I have always wanted to see a Disney Fan Site where artists and writers could come together and create their own Park-Centric works. These works could be displayed here so that if you wanted to read a story or a comic that someone wrote about an attraction that no longer existed, you could.
Or people could post a script or drawings of an attraction that they made up but can never really create since they aren't imagineers.
Seriously, click the picture and check out the list of attractions that this guy put out there. I would love to be able to scroll through stories based upon attractions that only the most die-hard fans have any interest in.
I would be elated to look through dozens and dozens of ideas that people have for their own attractions with or without a Disney bent. I think that the only way that this would work is to offer monetary compensation or regular contests. I don't think that the money thing would be possible from a legal stand point however.
I also don't think it's really something that only one person could put together.
Maybe someday I'll have the time and money to start this up but it would really only be able to flourish if it had a community of people behind it.
Just something that I was thinking about.
I came up with this the other day when I had an overwhelming desire to write some Horizons fan fiction. I didn't write it though, I just had the desire.
Let me know what you think about this and what kinds of things you'd like to see in your own Disney Dream Site.
